               A pictogram is a pictorial symbol for a word or phrase. Pictographs were used as the earliest known form of writing, and examples have been discovered in Egypt and Mesopotamia from before 3000 BC.   In the light of this information , we can say that pictograms can be used as materials in English language teaching today. Thanks to pictograms, s tudents can visualize words  and phrases,  and keep them in mind more easily .     I prepared pictograms related to free time activities in English.              Socrative is a comprehensive formative assessment tool with a wide range of features that can enrich teaching and learning. Here, teachers can create a series of polls and quizzes around a topic, in the form of multiple-choice, true/false, one-sentence responses, and so on. While images can be uploaded to a questionnaire, this web app does not support audio or video files.  Socrative's Quick Question feature allows students to answer questions in real-time and thus provides teachers with an opportunity to record classroom performance. Furthermore, students can also use Space Race, a collaborative feature where they can compete with one another to solve the quizzes designed by their teachers. The student or team who answers maximum questions correctly wins the race.     I prepared a video for you to understand basically how it works. It is a user-friendly tool for online assessment.           We are all familiar with the lessons that have taken on an online format during the pandemic . Especially for young students , it can be difficult to continue online classes without getting bored . The duty of teachers here is to ensure that students can interact with their teachers and classmates by taking an active role in the lesson .
